DBA Degree: Doctor of Business Administration
DBA or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program has the
following objectives:
- In-depth understanding of a chosen field of specialization
- A strong foundation on business management and research for
high-level decision-making in business
- Theoretical and empirical competencies and skills in
handling management and administrative problems.
The degree is a program designed to meet the needs of top
executives, entrepreneurs and business faculty to contribute to
their fields and respond to the needs of society particularly in
the management of various government and private agencies. The
program combines an in-depth examination of theories and
practices in management, specifically research methods and basic
disciplines which contribute to the understanding of managerial
process. The program seeks to broaden students’ understanding of
managerial of the relationship of management national and
international issues. Likewise, it is designed to combine
practitioners’ experience in academic abstraction in a
distinctive curriculum consistent with the mission of the
college. DBA is dramatically different from BBA or MBA because
it is a degree that focus on research and teaching, not a job
skill training education. Therefore, if you are seeking
industrial or consulting job, do not consider the Doctor degree.
